The musical sculptures below are all made from recycled steel, and are part of a family of instruments developed and performed in sound experiments (not necessarily "musical") beginning in the late 1960's, and continuing today. These instruments are built tough to enable them to go into new areas of sound where conventional musical instruments breakdown and cannot follow. They are designed to be tuned to the whims of the player, and played spontaneously and intuitively. This New "Not Music" created by these instruments ignores the traditional concepts of correct and incorrect forms of musical expression, and invites anyone and everyone, non-musician and musician to play these sculptures without having to worry about notes, rythmn, etc. and easily create an auditory experience, and an auditory environment totally personal, new, and free.
